What most HR Managers checks first in a CV mostly is the introduction. This is an avenue to shoot your shot, make it loaded as much as possible, catchy, easy-to-read, brief, avoid phrases that won’t make it look appealing.

List your qualities that are in line with the job you are applying for. Don’t make it look like you are writing a story about yourself or a novel. Try and make it precise and quite official.

It’s quite unfortunate, some people do submit their CV with some food or tea spill on them, and this is one of the common errors that can kill your CV almost immediately.

Try and put your CV in some clean envelops and the CV should be written on clean white paper, neatly placed in an envelope. If you submit some dirty, wrinkled paper, some employers assume that’s the kind of person you are, and they may not want to give you a job.

12. References

Long CVs are mainly filled with irrelevant information that are not necessary and should have been avoided. Some people would want to impress their potential employers by having a long list of reference(s).

The best way to go about it is to say “Reference is available on request”, this will save you unnecessary long epistle and make your CV more appealing to your potential employer. When reference is needed you will be asked to provide them.
